Congratulations, Kaylee Kim

The Glenview School of Arts features the student Kaylee Kim, who joined our High School Portfolio Program and over the course of 6 months, she developed a well-rounded high quality portfolio for art school admissions.
Her lessons had an emphasis on strong technical foundation skills, as well as digital and animation techniques.
Kaylee was both accepted and awarded scholarships at these universities:

Her artworks were displayed in our 2021 Student Showcase at the Raupp Memorial Museum. One of her paintings still remain displayed right by the entrance so make sure to take a closer look next time you stop by!

The Glenview School of Arts congratulates our student Sarah Warner for being accepted by The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a $20,000 scholarship/year, Rhode Island School of Design, Pratt with a $26,000 scholarship/year, Boston University with a $20,000 scholarship/year, New York University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Colby College.
Sarah has been a dedicated student with us for many years, building her art skills and portfolio with our lessons on traditional foundational art. By learning techniques regarding proportion, perspective, color theory, tones, structures, blending, and so on, she has been able to creatively express her ideas visually with various art mediums.
Sarah will continue her journey as an artist and attend one of the prestigious universities that accepted her portfolio. Congratulations, Sarah!

We’re eager to welcome all students and parents to witness the creativity of our art community. The showcase is now OPEN and will stay up until June 27th. On your visit, we highly recommend visiting the Raupp Memorial Museum, which is only 2 minutes away from the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center. The museum is educational, well organized and our exhibition wouldn’t have been possible without them and YOU!

Valentine's Day Card Contest
It is with great excitement that we’re sharing our first Art Contest of 2021! We’re looking for original, crafty Valentine’s Day Cards. Whether it’s your crush, friend, family member, pet fish, fictional character, etc. We’ll be looking at HOW you visually deliver on a special card.

Contest Guidelines
We’re looking for creativity, craftsmanship, and vibrant colors in your winter themed/holiday ornaments.
You can submit as many ornaments as you’d like.
For this contest we will be accepting any medium, any shape! ( Either in 2D or 3D )
Sizes: For 2D Art submissions we accept up to 6“ x 6“
For 3D art we accept up to 5“ x 5“Please tag or label your artwork with your name, phone number and age.
Entries must be dropped off or mailed to the Glenview School of Arts. Mailed works must be received by December 10th! Address: 1812 Glenview Rd, Glenview 60025
Artworks will not be returned so make sure to take a picture before submitting.
Winners will be announced via social media on Glenview School of Arts Facebook and Instagram!

Animation & Digital Art [Gallery]
About our Animation Classes:
Students are introduced to animating in digital software such as Procreate, Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
First they will learn how to hand draw their own character, objects, and background, as well as develop a simple narrative. Throughout the course, students will develop digital software skills through in-class exercises and a personal project.
