High School Summer Classes
This program welcomes both students preparing for AP Art or building a college/art school portfolio, and those who simply want to enjoy creating art and improve their skills. Each session offers focused instruction in drawing, painting, and mixed media, encouraging both technical growth and creative exploration.
Whether you’re aiming for a future in art or just love to create, this class is the perfect place to grow and express yourself.
Class Schedule and Tuition Fee
Drawing and Painting Classes are held on Mondays. Wednesdays, Fridays 1pm - 4pm from 6/9/2025 to 8/23/2025. Digital Art and Animation Classes are held on Thursdays 1pm-4pm from 6/19/2025 to 8/23/2025. Students will choose 5 consecutive classes in a set.

Portfolio Development $518 / 5 classes

*There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee charged to each student per school academic year (starting from summer session).
Course Descriptions
Drawing & Painting (Freshman)
This class helps Freshmen develop foundational skills in drawing and painting through step-by-step projects. Students will improve technique while beginning to explore their own artistic interests.
Drawing & Painting (Sophomore)
Sophomores will strengthen their drawing and painting skills through more advanced projects while exploring their personal artistic goals.
Drawing & Painting (Junior - Senior)
For Juniors and Seniors interested in art but not applying to art programs. Students will explore key concepts and create advanced works to deepen their skills.
Portfolio Development (Junior - Senior)
For students preparing to apply to art schools or major in art. Includes portfolio development, essay and artist statement coaching, and summer studio access for seniors. Guided by experienced instructors for optimal results.
Digital Art
Students will explore digital illustration through projects like character design, fan art, and concept scenes. Skills include sketching, line art, color blending, and composition using drawing tablets and Photoshop.
Animation Introduction
For students with some experience in digital art or have taken the Digital Art class. This class will be introduced to the different styles and approaches to create an animation from scratch in Photoshop. Class includes drawing and animation practice exercises, character and layout creation.
Animation Intermediate
For students with some experience in animation or have taken the Animation Introduction class. Focuses on character creation and introduces Adobe After Effects for more advanced animation techniques.
